Well, this is a question I ask myself all the time, and with conversations with my mother, whom i think to be one of the smartest people i know, she tells me all the time, that she isnt so sure i will life better than she did. Her goal, when having kids was to make a better life for them than she had, and she believes, and i believe that she had a better life than her parents and so far, i have had a better and more opportunistic life than mine, but what will my future hold? I agree that passion and curiousity are of the utmost importance in the learning path of any human being, but i am not sure that we allow it to be at times as educators. People skills are most definatley more important than computer skills, and doing what you love to do it the greatest advice i think anyone can take from this.
Futuristics are tough because you can predict the future but you can;t foretell it. You can prepare for it as best as you can with predictions. In our case, are schools and teachers heeding the predictions and making changes as a result?
You raise the really vital question that brings us all here in the first place -- we are trying to better ourselves, but will we succeed? And do we know enough to help our students succeed?
It's scary to to think what the future holds for our children, isn't it?
I really like the final slide because it truly is the educators' responsibility to utilize all the resources we can to provide the best future we can for the kids we meet.

I also love the Enya song!
This video was great. It was concise, to the point and well-organized. Great recap to what we have learned so far in this class.
